《The Killing Fields 戰火屠城》 (1984)

1975年美軍從越南和柬埔寨撤離後柬共“紅色高棉”乘虛而入佔領首都金邊，開始殘暴血腥殺戮，僅有7、800萬人口的小國柬埔寨，因柬共殺戮、饑餓死亡人口到達讓人震撼的約100萬。

主線是真人真事改編的美國戰地記者Sydney Schanberg與柬籍翻譯Dith Pran生死相交故事，亦大量重現極左社會主義意識形態造就的慘絕人寰。

看的是美版DVD，其中佔上一半的當地語言連英字也沒有，但畫面還是相當憾人：教育十歲左右童兵暴力濫殺、暴力奪權、勞改營、社會主義改造、集體大鍋飯、消滅私有制、限制自由、准軍事化社會、骨屍河、饑餓殺戮、威權獨裁、迫害知識份子、社會停滯．．．

本片當年獲奧斯卡三項大獎，其中本職醫生的華人Haing S. Ngor吳漢（左圖），憑首演Dith Pran一角獲得最佳男配角獎。他是美柬戰亂、紅色高棉屠戮親歷者，歷經妻子死於懷中及各種虐待酷刑，曾受訪表示片中境況甚至不及實際慘況十分一。

一部值得細思的慘烈戰爭人性故事，尤其是有相似中共背景的當代年輕同胞。
